Your audio stays
on your Mac.
Transcription runs on-device with MLX-Whisper, accelerated on your Apple Silicon Metal GPU. Your audio file never touches a server — ours or anyone else's. No upload, no background sync, no telemetry on what you said.
AI summaries are optional. Plug in your own key when you want summaries; skip them and you still get the full transcript. Either way, the raw recording never leaves the device.

Lognote taps into your Mac's audio system itself — so you capture everything you hear, not just the noise from your mic. If it's making sound on your machine, lognote can transcribe it.
